Atari Unity/Flash Games on Facebook

Atari has officially added a selection of unity/flash games to Facebook as applications which you can enjoy. Currently there are applications for Faeries vs. Darklings, Yar's Revenge: The First War and Atari Arcade Classics; a collection containing Centipede, Missile Command and many others. There are also plans to add even more games!

Finding Atari Unity/Flash Games on Facebook

While you can use the normal Facebook search features to find the Atari applications that are in place, here are a pair of links that may be useful to you:

General Troubleshooting

If you are having any trouble starting one of the Atari Unity/Flash Games in your browser, give the following suggestions a try:

  • Make sure that you are using a supported browser, and that it is updated. Try Chrome, Firefox or Internet Explorer.
  • Several games including Atari Arcade Classics will require that the Flash 10.1 plug-in be installed, and you should automatically be prompted to install it should it not be present
  • Some games like Asteroids Online use the Unity Web Player. This utility is used for many games and may be more common in future Atari games. If you are encountering trouble with the Unity installation, make certain that you are using an updated and supported browser as outlined above. If you still encounter an issue and are not already using Mozilla Firefox, try again using that browser with version 3.0 or newer.
  • Double check your internet connection as these games will not work in offline mode
  • Take a peek at the Play Atari forums which are located here for possible suggestions: http://forums.atari.com/forumdisplay.php?f=677
